Master investment decision frameworks that help you evaluate projects with confidence. Our program runs September 2025 through March 2026, giving you time to prepare for smarter capital allocation.
View Program DetailsHow We Built This Program
beryntalora started in 2018 when three finance professionals noticed something. Australian businesses needed better tools to evaluate capital investments. Not theory from textbooks, but practical frameworks they could actually use.
Foundation Year
Launched with eight participants in Canberra. The first cohort helped us understand what business owners actually needed versus what finance textbooks taught. We rewrote half the curriculum based on their feedback.
Pandemic Pivot
COVID forced us online. Turned out to be a blessing. We could work with businesses across Australia instead of just ACT. Added evening sessions for people juggling remote work and family obligations.
Curriculum Overhaul
Rebuilt our entire approach around real Australian business scenarios. Manufacturing expansions. Tech infrastructure investments. Property development. Less theory, more application. This is what we teach today.
Current Focus
We're concentrating on mid-sized businesses now. Companies with AUD 5-50 million revenue who are making bigger capital decisions but don't have full finance teams. That's where our approach makes the most difference.
The People Behind beryntalora
We're a small team. Everyone teaches. Everyone has spent years working with Australian businesses on capital investment decisions. No academic theorists here.
Kellan Drummond
Lead Instructor
Spent twelve years at a Brisbane investment firm before moving to education. Kellan focuses on NPV calculations and discount rate selection. He's good at explaining why theoretical models often fail in real business contexts.
Rosalie Thistlewood
Program Coordinator
Handles the logistics that make our program work. Rosalie also teaches our segment on risk assessment and sensitivity analysis. She has a knack for creating spreadsheet models that participants can actually modify for their own businesses.
Our Teaching Philosophy
We don't believe in the standard lecture format. Our sessions are built around participant businesses. You bring real investment decisions you're considering. We work through them together.
The financial models we teach aren't complicated. But they do require understanding your business assumptions and risk tolerance. That's what we focus on during our eight-month program.
I run a manufacturing business in Newcastle. Before beryntalora, I made equipment purchases based on gut feeling and supplier pressure. Now I have a framework. Still makes me nervous sometimes, but at least I can explain my reasoning to the bank.
